Iranian Firms to Develop South Azadegan Processing Unit
- TEHRAN, Aug 16 (Shana) – Operator of the development project of South Azadegan Oilfield says the main contractor of a 320,000b/d processing unit for the project will be an Iranian company, saying 13 domestic and foreign firms have so far voiced their readiness to carry out the project.

Speaking to Shana, Seyyed Mahmoud Marashi said the bids by the contractors will be presented to Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) by late September.
He expressed hope that the project’s destiny will be determined by then.
3 Petrochemical Projects Operational in Less Than 1 Month
- TEHRAN, Aug 17 (Shana) – Kavian, Kordestan and MEG petrochemical facilities are to become operational based on the schedule of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) in less than one month.

More than 60 petrochemical projects are now implemented in various parts of the country, including Petrochemical Special Economic Zone, Bandar Mahshahr Special Economic Energy Zone and other regions.
Meanwhile, Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zanganeh has called this year as an exceptional year for Iranian petrochemical industry.
